Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone to join our team of Development Leads, working with Veronika and Kallum, bringing new skills and expertise while supporting our circles and their facilitators and organisers.
We’d like you to:
- Share and help drive our vision for change.
- Be part of building something beautiful in Midd.
- Develop and drive our organisation, circles and goal to make Middleton GM’s first co-operative town.
- Have a deep understanding of how the current economic set-up creates disadvantage and inequality and damages the wellbeing of people and communities.
- Have experience of organising people to bring about transformative change.
- Want to be part of a close-knit team and an organisation built on personal relationships.
- Be comfortable communicating honestly and with care, regardless of people’s relative power or position.
- Be up for learning as we change and grow.
- Be aligned with and committed to our values and principles, and believe that change is possible.
- Have a connection to Middleton, live within easy reach or be up for becoming a Middletonian.
What We Offer
- £43,000 to £46,000 FTE.
- 28 hours over four days. We are looking for someone to work with us full time, and we also welcome part-time and job-share applications.
- A four-day week and flexible working arrangements.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata.
- An 8% employer pension contribution.
- A permanent post.
- At least half of your working time is based in Middleton, with the option to work from home or other places for the rest.

We plan to complete the first-stage shortlisting and inform everyone of the outcome by Friday 11 September 2026.
First-round interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 28 September 2026, with a second round, if needed, on Thursday 8 and/or Friday 9 October 2026.
We will contact shortlisted candidates about the next stages. The exact process will depend on the number of applications, but we will give people enough notice to take part.
